{Lore}
There are places deep within the mind where our imagination lives. Here is where the power that makes up magic draws upon it's force. The greater the imagination the greater the power released with magic. This is the fundamental law of how magic works. It is through the great amount of power channeled through the Valorn Nexuses that allow the Institute Summoners to bring beings from other worlds forth to Runaterra. Much like the way in which Nocturne was released from the depths of dreams. Death was another such being who was pulled from the Dream World long ago. Since the time that he felt the pull of the Valorn Summoners he has sought to fulfill the task set to him in the Dream Plane. As such he has sought those of weak heart to take their souls with him back to the Dream Plane. However as he could not return his satchel continued to fill until he presented himself to the Institute of War. The League Summoners fell back in a mixture of fear and surprise at his arrival, but quickly agreed to assist him in his desire to return to his home.
"His presence near you is like the cold touch of the void. I think his arrival won him all the matches he'll ever be in." -Mordekaiser
