    Baeryn, the Sacred Disciple

As usual, no lore and needs numbers adjustments. Also, I apparently REALLY like the W to be the lynchpin ability with my champions...

    Suggested Roles:

    Jungle offtank/supportive
    Support

    Stats:

    Health: 465 (+90)
    Health regen: 8 (+0.7)
    Range: 125 (melee)
    Attack damage: 49.7 (+3.3)
    Attack speed: 0.645 (+3.2%)
    Armor: 17 (+3.1)
    Magic resist: 30 (+1.25)
    Movespeed: 340

    Baeryn's abilities have no cost.

    Difficulty: High

    Innate: Focused Dualities

Each of Baeryn's abilities gives him a Duality stack. Abilities used on enemies give Red stacks and abilities used on allies give Blue stacks. Baeryn can have a maximum of 3 stacks total, and 3 stacks of the same color are automatically consumed to give an additional effect to Baeryn's next basic ability. A new stack(s) that cannot be consumed replaces the oldest stack(s). Stacks are permanent until consumed or replaced. An empowered ability grants no stacks.

    Q: Spiritual Presence

Baeryn links his spirit with the target ally or enemy, with effects depending on the target. Baeryn can reactivate this ability during its duration to teleport to the target while ending the effect. Reactivation does not end the effects granted by Duality bonuses.

Cooldown: 11 [begins on initial cast]

    Cast range: 625

    On Enemy Cast:

The target bears Baeryn's spiritual judgment, causing his or her AD and AP to decrease each time he or she attacks or uses an ability for the duration. These decreases stack indefinitely.

    AD and AP penalty: 3/5/7/9/11
    Duration: 4/4.5/5/5.5/6

    Red Duality bonus:

Also slows the target by 50% for 3.5 seconds.

    Blue duality bonus:

Also freezes the target's cooldowns for 3.5 seconds.

    On Ally Cast:

Baeryn inspires himself or an ally, granting lifesteal and spell vamp for the duration.

    Lifesteal and Spell Vamp: 5/7/9/11/13%
    Duration: 4/4.5/5/5.5/6

    Red Duality bonus:

Also causes the target's basic attacks to reduce basic ability cooldowns by 1 second on-hit for the duration.

    Blue Duality bonus:

Also increases the target's movement speed by 70 for 3 seconds.

    W: Ancient Glyph

    Cooldown: 9

Baeryn calls upon an ancient power to bathe all targets in a cone. Baeryn and allies are shielded and have increased armor and magic resist for a duration, and enemies take increased damage and are dealt magic damage. Ancient Glyph applies one Duality stack of a color depending on the first target affected, not including Baeryn. While Renaissance is active, the first 2 units affected determine the stack colors. If no targets are affected besides Baeryn, Ancient Glyph adds a Blue Duality stack.

    Cone distance: 500

    Duration: 2.5 seconds

    Shield amount: 60/85/110/135/160 (+0.4 AP)
Armor and magic resist bonus: 5/8/11/14/17
    Damage increase: 7/8/9/10/11%
Damage amount: 50/90/130/170/210 (+0.6 total AD)

Red Duality bonus: All enemies hit are stunned for 1.5 seconds.

Blue Duality bonus: All allies affected are healed for 7.5% of their maximum health.

    E: Sacred Armory

    Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12

    Cast range: 750
    Missile speed: 1150

Baeryn summons several divine swords and spears in front of him, which hover for 0.5 seconds before travelling towards the target. They pierce an enemy target or begin aiding an ally target in battle.

    On Enemy Cast:

Deals damage to the target. The base damage is physical, the bonus damage from AD is physical, and the bonus damage from AP is magic.
    Damage: 80/120/160/200/240 (+0.8 bonus AD) (+0.8 AP)

    Red Duality bonus:

Enemy units struck along the way are dealt half damage.

    Blue Duality bonus:

The damage cannot be avoided by invulnerability or untargetability.

    On Ally Cast:

The target's AD is increased for a duration.

    AD bonus: 12/17/22/27/32
    Duration: 6/6.5/7/7.5/8

    Red Duality bonus:

    The AD bonus is doubled.

    Blue Duality bonus:

For the duration, the swords and spears have a 15% chance to block a basic attack on the target, reducing its damage by 80%.

    R: Renaissance

Baeryn temporarily gains increased health, armor, and magic resist, and his abilities give 2 Duality stacks instead of 1. In addition, the max Duality stacks becomes 4 for the duration. Empowered abilities grant 1 stack instead of none. If Baeryn has 4 Duality stacks when Renaissance ends, the oldest stack dissipates.

    Bonus health: 200/275/350
Bonus armor and magic resist: 25/40/55
    Duration: 8/10/12

    Strategy

When jungling as Baeryn, start with Ancient Glyph and charge it twice before beginning your jungle route, then use it first thing when you start. Not only is Ancient Glyph great for jungling because it deals AoE damage and gives you a shield and bonus resistances, but your third use will give a third Blue Duality stack, which will consume them and cause your 4th cast to heal you.

Ancient Glyph allows Baeryn to have both colors of Focused Duality consumed simultaneously. This can be done by casting it on no target until the Blue Duality is fully stacked, while the Red Duality is already fully stacked, OR by casting it on both an ally and an enemy while Renaissance is active and Baeryn has 2 Duality stacks of each color.

After becoming Dual Focused with Ancient Glyph, use Ancient Glyph again in a big teamfight. It can clinch a teamfight victory or turn fights around easily.

A support Baeryn has a lot of flexibility in which abilities he wants to max first and how he wants to use them, which can leave your opponents wondering what to expect. This should be communicated with your team, though, so they aren't equally confused.

Again, pretty sexy champ. How do you expect me to destroy your hard work if you don't make it flawed?!

Really like the mechanics. The Duality function is unique, but familiar, and gives players something to juggle and think about, as it creates a plethora of options for them, yet without over-complicating things. I think my favorite skill has to be his Q, what with the way it debuffs over time if the enemy is attacking. Good job overall.

But it is flawed! Blue and Red are terrible names for the Duality stacks. Razz
