Your passive allows you to adapt to many situations. Try to assess the situation at hand before blindly casting your spells.
Flare grants vision around it's cast area. Try using it to scout bushes.
Your ult makes your spells very powerful. Make sure to sace it for when you need it most, like in team fights.
Against Cronos
Flare and Dark Matter do somewhat negligible damage unless comboed with each other. But if he builds a lot of AP, it can be worthwhile to build magic resist.
If you find yourself struggling to stay out of his effective range (Luminaire's radius is a good indicator of his effective range), tenacity can help reduce his disruptive capability.
His mana pool is actually greater than his health pool, so if he gets focused down, he likely going to die.
